AVENUE invites you to celebrate the joy of Winter with a magical fashion showcase featuring a stellar cast of international designers in Second Life®.
AVENUE is proud to debut the Winter 2009 collections from fashion brands Designing Nicky Ree, LeeZu!, CHANTKARE, JADOR Fashion, Anubis Style, My Precious by Agnes Finney, B! Fashion, SF Designs, Vassnia and runway debut of Vitabela Dubrovna’s inworld label Boudoir.
Following the showcase will be a party featuring DJ Magistar Bedrosian.
Winterfaire is produced by AVENUE Models, with AVENUE’S CEO Rusch Raymaker presiding as Creative Director and Choreographer and AVENUE’s Designer Liaison Laurel Luminos as Show Producer. Rusch Raymaker teams up with fellow Singaporean, Joy Laperriere to collaborate on the creation of the magical stage set.

In 2007, Anubis Hartunian embarked as a designer in the fashion industry with her label Anubis Style which quickly became one of the most important brands especially in the Italian Fashion scene. Known for her handcrafted textures, details and high quality designs, it is no wonder that her work has included custom designs and styling which included a custom dress for Miss Virtual World, Mimmi Boa, that was auctioned for “Make-A-Wish of Foundation of America®”. Anubis, ever active n the fashion industry has particpated in many projects including the Maseno Project and most recently set up a new brand with fellow designer Mew Denimore called ONESOUL.
Haute Couture label, Boudoir by Vitabela Dubrovna, although a relatively new name in Second Life®, is an established and known label in real life. Most of the inworld creations are based on Vitabela’s real life designs who is a full time professional designer. Vitabela has created a unique couture collection for Winterfaire using some unreal elements and shapes which are not possible in re-creating in real life by utilising all possibilities in Second Life®.
Barbarella Cioc, owner/designer for B! Fashion is a tremendous talent since she came into Second Life® in 2007. An Italian based in Milan, her designs are beautifully detailed and fashion forward. This next collection only provides a small glimpse of what she can do.
CHANTKARE is the brainchild of Applonia Criss and Long Pausch with Applonia as the Designer and Long, the Interior Designer and Art Director. In 1.5 years, they have created a unique vision of Women’s Couture and Fashion Second Life®. Together they believe that women can be fabulous, funky, fierce and sexy wearing Chantkare.
This Winter/Hiver 2009-2010, they have derived a look imbuing a very dark mood but whimsical based on an inspiration Applonia has when she watched the Swan Lake ballet. The color palette of the collection is Black or white Muted tones of Blush and Pink as well as warm shades of Putty and will feature a jewelery collaboration with Gyorgyna Larnia of Lagyo.
Nicky Ree has been designing and creating digital fashion in SL since May 2006.
Her background is in graphic and illustration field with more than 15 years of experience in graphic design, working for multinational publishing forms, advertising and web development. Nicky has also illustrated several children’s books, novels, travel books and designed several coffee table books on travel and nature, and collaborated with several photographers in special projects in real life.
Jador Fashion, the impeccable designs of Ziamela Loon, started in October of 2007. With her creative mind and quick talent, Ziamela decided to begin creating her own fashion line when she first started Second Life®. Her designs range from the elegance of high fashion to the simplistic nature of her casual wears. And from here she notes the sky is the limit and says there is no telling what her crazy mind will invent next.
[LeeZu!] is home to one of the leading Couture designers in Second Life®. Each different section of the store veers off the main entrance, offering tempting treasures in couture designs as well as the stunning art pieces and sculptures cleverly placed to catch the eye of the observant. Spacious and trendy, [LeeZu!] is a pleasurable shopping experience for all and a renowned brand for creating lush textures and designs for those who love a quirky twist to their couture.
Hailing from Hong Kong, the high-quality fashion line of Agnes Finney “My Precious” is breathtaking in her designs and creativity that is evident in each piece. The gowns and outfits are intricately detailed and carry an appropriate edge of sophistication of only the highest quality. Each design shines in its own beauty and carries over clearly to the woman who would wear them.
SF Design is a British company started by Swaffette Firefly who is the sole designer. swaffette has no formal design or graphic training but has enjoyed learning since she started visiting other 3D communities on the internet in 2002. The company was started in 2004 soon after Swaffette joined Second Life® to supply mens clothes as the choice was extremely limited. It has grown and developed in 3 years to include a wide range of clothes for both men and women covering formal, costume, uniforms, business wear, swimwear, casual, lingerie and shoes. Swaffette’s inspiration has really come from the people and events of Second Life®, and a wide range of formal wear and wedding wear is available now at their new formal only store – High Society.
VNP Ninetails is a Latin real life artist who paints oil on canvas and is also a dentist specialized in cosmetic dentistry. She used to make clothes for her dolls when she was a child and has made her own clothes in real life a few times too. In Second Life®, VNP Ninetails is a creator, designer, builder and artist who runs Vassnia for a year and a half now. VNP is constantly creating, learning and improving … each design is a challenge and she likes the adrenaline creating brings to her and the joy of sharing part of her with people around the world.
