Indyra, Jador and Phoenix Rising all have Love for McQueen

In this final day of sales, I share 3 more designs. I’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported this tribute and made all of this possible for us to carry out. This has been an amazing experience for all of us here at AVENUE, and it was a great feeling to know the SL fashion community was behind us.

To date we have raised L$ 541,000. The charity transactions can be followed on the Keep a Child Alive donation page with a kind note to everyone.  The final transaction will show there upon receipt, in a few days.

Still all night to SHOP SHOP SHOP! 🙂

Indyra

“When I think of McQueen, I am immediately reminded of his obsession with dark glamor; he toyed with the idea of death, and the beauty HE found in it. It may not be immediately obvious, but he had this knack for chaotic balance. If he had something major on one side, on the other, he’d have something equally eye catching. Not always apparent to the novice, but McQueen was defiantly all about symmetry, symmetry, symmetry. He also made one hell of an obi belt, so I simply had to follow suit. My favorite spring flower is the cherry blossom, I love everything french, and this study is all about McQueen; put it in a pot, out comes Indyra Originals: Sakura du Mort. Voila’.” ~Indyra Seigo

Jador

“This dress was inspired by the tragic death of this extraordinary artist. The dark side of man has always been fascinated by this designer, and I wanted to pay homage with this extravagant creation.” ~Ziamela Loon

Phoenix Rising

“The main inspiration for Phoenix Rising’s Tribute came from a combination of McQueen’s rich luxury in Fall 2008 & dark silhouettes in Winter 2009. His amazing gift in combining structure with sheer femininity is something I strove to emulate today.” ~Ashoka Eales
