Boudoir and The Black Canary have Love for McQueen

Vitabela Dubrovna, of Boudoir, and Morrigan Denimore, of The Black Canary, both expressed very personal inspirations for their tributes to Alexander McQueen, and I share them with you here below.  The memories of this man live deep inside us all.

“While many people forget that they are truly eternal spirits, and become identified with their bodies, and then from that perspective, can have experiences of “being inspired”, in the absolute sense of truth, remembering we are spirits, then inspiration is really about who we truly are, coming “down” into our bodies… to really be present, in our bodies, on this planet… and we do so for two primary reasons… to experience what’s here so that the experience might trigger us to grow/change/heal, and to create here… to alter this reality, to leave our mark, more so than “in the world”, in the consciousness of other beings here. Everything is just merely what it is… what experiencing those things triggers within us, may seem to be about the triggering experience, but really, it’s about ourselves… our response to something is all about us… so, we are most inspired by something which triggers us to see ourself in a new way, to attain a new perspetive on our own self… so, we are inspired by the intensity and profundity of our experience even more than by what triggered it. This outfit is inspired by Alexander McQueen’s fashion show during Paris Fashion Week at POPB on March 10, 2009 in Paris, France.” ~Vitabela Dubrovna

“After a long and busy lifetime, building, creating, loving, hating, fighting, compromising, failing, succeeding, the Fool feels a profound need to retreat. Every night at dusk he heads out, traveling across the bare, autumnal landscape. He carries only a staff and a lantern. The Fool becomes the Hermit, which is like the lantern, illuminated from within by all he is.” ~Morrigan Denimore

The charity sale runs through the end of March and each design can be found at the respective designers mainstore with 100% of the funds going to Keep a Child Alive.
